Please vote for the top 3 wishes on this list. If 1 of the top 3 wishes is on 'voting hold', then please vote for the next wish in the queue. Thanks. And, remember this is an unofficial & totally voluntary wish list.

I understand that you are using placeholders when someone's wish is auto granted by the hourly random free design. However, when mine came up, I didn't notice. I wasn't online. Is there some way to down load all the hourlies without being on line?

Dea Ann

Moderator answer:

As far as I know, there is no way to download the hourlies without being online for it. They are only available for that hour and if you don't catch them, you just miss out. Sorry about that.

If you were to have some sort of computer program that would check each hour and download the design for you . . . but I've never heard of such a thing outside of my wild imagination. Laughing

OH! I just noticed something that I somehow overlooked before: We do NOT change requests to place holders just because that design was offered for free in the design hunt or the hourly freebie (or as Dea Ann put it, "auto-granted"). We only put up placeholders when the requested design has been the DAILY free design, and then the requester moves to the bottom of the list again and the place holder is so that they keep their place in line while they decide on a new request.

By the way, everyone, I have been playing around with the "ranks", which are the little descriptions below your names. If you would like something different/specific for yourself, or if you would like to "nominate" someone else for a special rank, just let me know.

So far, being a Queen is the "in" thing. Laughing

Marji has become The Cat Queen.
Stacylynn has become The Horse Queen.
Quiltersblock has become Wishlist Link Queen.
Twinsplus1 has become Mommy-Queen.
Silver has become Queen Bee Moderator's Assistant.

Hey, girls, Cutiepie has a post in "Questions and Answers" about what's been happening to her lately, why she hasn't been here. Y'all might want to check it out, she's had quite a bad time of it. We ought to maybe give her some support, since she helps us all out so much. Very Happy

Love to my voting list buddies,
Marji

Screenbags,

Why don't you post your comments to this group? Or send the emails to me; you can use either of the emails you have for me to do that. I don't check this every day. I just happened to be at the computer today.

I pm'd Margi with wish-posting instructions, and I'm thinking of posting that here as well. At least that would give everyone a heads-up on kind of what's expected and then maybe we can wrangle the wishes every other day or something. I get emails when something is posted here so I can check, but sometimes I'm not at the computer to do that. What do you think of that solution?

Don't know if I'll be posting for the rest of the evening or not. It's incredibly and unseasonably hot and humid here and I'm thinking of escaping to Puget Sound for the evening. My poor desktop computer will just have to stay in my office.

I'll check my email once before bedtime.

Hugs and Smiles, quiltersblock

Heads up on voting for the dreamcatcher on the wishlist!!!

That set has several SIZES of the same design and we are getting two of them showing up in the voting. Please check the size of the design you're voting for, it should be the 6x6 one. That's close to the bottom of the page of designs. If you scroll down far enough, you'll see the designs repeat. Don't just vote for the first one that looks right, because that's the 4x4 one!!! How do I know this? That's what I've been doing for several days now!! Voting for the wrong one, LOL! It wasn't till I checked out why there would be 2 of the same thing showing up that I found the problem. Please check the size!!

Thanks,
Marji

Hey, all. I'm back, but only temporarily. I need to take my computer in to be repaired. I'll still check in when I can.

But in the meantime, I have gone through and deleted a TON of stuff from this forum. If I have made any mistakes (like not updating your wish or putting back up a wish that has already been won), PLEASE let me know. I make mistakes on occasion, you know. Wink

By the way, I have decided what I am going to do about those who have place holders that aren't filled by the time they reach the top of the list: Any place holders within the range of the top three actual wishes will be dated as soon as they arrive there. Then, they will either have to be filled in with a request or remain there for one week ONLY before they are moved to the bottom of the list again. Does that sound fair to everyone? Or perhaps they should be removed from the list completely? Let me know what you think!

I'm actually a bit behind (obviously), so the placeholders at the top of the list now will be dated as of August 24 because I don't know when they actually came into place. Rolling Eyes Laughing

Welcome back, CutiePie, even if only temporarily!!! Hope you get your computer fixed quick, what happened, did the new high-speed connection confuse it? Giggle, snork. Very Happy Very Happy Hope everything is closer to normal at your house now with the KiddiePies and such. Well, maybe I should wish for "good", not "normal", if your life is like mine, hee hee hee Shocked Shocked Thanks for deleting all the stuff.

Wishlist placeholders: um, one reminder and back to the bottom. It's a free design, if ya don't want it bad enough to get your ducks in order after one reminder (and I like reminders, because I don't always look far down the list, only at what the wishes are), then when you get close to the top with no wish, back to the bottom! Off with her head! Hee hee hee. Really, Susan or you shouldn't have to bug people to make wishes. I'm glad they continue to vote for the list with us, but perhaps they've purchased memberships, or gotten what they wanted on sale, and just want to stay in the system in case a wish pops up for them. I don't think we should just 'delete' people, unless they ask to be, but don't think they need to be begged to make a wish, either. Oh, it's early for me, I hope this makes sense.

Luv & good stitches,
Marji

Keep up the good work, team! Everyone have a great Labor Day weekend!

Thanks,

P.S. I just now noticed someone changed my name to Mommy-Queen, cute.......Smile but I love all things to do with the beach, ocean, etc.(not that I don't love my kids, lol.) I'm not sure if you have time to come up with something to that effect? If not, it's ok, just a suggestion.

Yikes! Stacylynn, I clicked on your link to see which design you were requesting and it made me actually vote for it.

Here is the link that takes you to the voting page and lets you look at the designs and then click to vote:
