I have a Janome 5700 machine. Occasionally, when I open a purchased design within my editing software, the design is outside the allowed stitch area. Has anyone else had that problem? If so, what do you do? I was successful resizing and moving the design so it is within the stitch area, but when I actually tried to stitch the design, it didn't work.
Any help would be appreciated. |

Some older Janomes, like the one I had, would require you to use their OEM software (Customizer, EZ Edit, Easy Transfer etc) to transfer the design because it added a 'hidden' file. Without that file the machine did not know how or where to center the design... If you just cut and pasted the design onto the memory device or did a transfer of the file using Windows my Janome machine would often have a fit.
Your machine only recognizes the older .SEW files if I remember right so .JEF files would not work with it.
If this machine is new to you and you have the original software you may want to look into updating any of the software at the Janome site.
I hope some of this may give you a clue as to what is going wrong...
