Hi! My name is Debbie S. I just joined this forum last night. I have been reading some of the posts. I think that I will like it here. Everyone seems so friendly and eager to help and to encourage each other.
I live in the North Oregon Cascade Foothills, about 1350 ft. elevation, about 1 hour southeast of Portland, Oregon. My hubby got me a belated Christmas - early birthday present of a H.Viking Designer 1 sewing machine off of Ebay. It is about 3 - 4 years old. I want to be able to make some of my own designs, so I found the Inspira Autodigitizing 4.0 program on Ebay. It is going to take quite a bit of learning and practice to figure it out. Hopefully, someday I will be able to create a design that somewhat looks like how I wanted it to look like!! I have some parrots and a springer spaniel for pets. I would like to eventually be able to embroider their likenesses on to sweatshirts or something. However, since this is my first sewing machine in over 25 years, I need to start practicing some of the basics first - sort of get my feet wet before jumping into the deep end! I am looking forward to getting to know all of you. I hope you won't mind some of my questions. The answers will probably seem so obvious to all of you. I hope to be able to assist others too someday. Thanks again for this chance to tell you about me. Debbie S. |

Nice to meet you. I am sure you will enjoy this forum. We are a friendly group.
If you want some nice parrot designs (Eclectus or Loris...I'm not sure which they were and Macaws), other than those sold in here look at
EmbLibrary. They have some great designs on sale for 1.10 US. BUT I think this is the last day of the sale. They normally run from 4 - 9 dollars each. These are very professional looking designs. If you get a chance check them out. If you buy any then look at the 17 cent designs which you can then get at that price. They also give away some really pretty free designs every month...look for their free Jacobean Shamrocks!

Take Care!

Thank you Silver. I tried that site and purchased the Macaw and a few other parrot designs. I just took my machine in for a tune up, so I will have to wait to try them. Debbie |
