Thank you to all who know me here, first of all for just BEING. Sewists are so wonderful. I am sorry to tell you that I lost my wonderful husband Saturday morning. The gruesome details are that he had a massive heart attack in his sleep, and I found him cold in bed on Saturday morning. The coroner told me there was no suffering, no pain, he simply slipped away without ever waking up. My heart is broken, but I am grateful for that simple blessing, that he did not suffer at all. There was no inkling that anything was wrong, he had been feeling fine, playing with his dogs, enjoying life, then he went to bed and never woke up. Remember to tell those dear to you that you love them before you go to bed, and never go to bed angry. You would want to know that the last thing they heard you say was that you loved them. Please keep me in your good thoughts/prayers/whatever you do, it helps. And Susan, in all the days to come, even if I'm very quiet, I'll still be voting the list. Amazing how such a simple thing can give me a reason to even turn on the computer. I don't know how much sewing I'll be doing. My dear Bud was my biggest fan and encouragement. I had just finished a Marine Corps emblem on his sweatshirt, and he wore it proudly to work the day before he died. It's hard to even look at the machine right now. They say it will get better, but since this is the second husband I've had to bury, I know it doesn't really. Thanks for all the fun I've had here, I'll hang in as long as I can.

marji --

I cannot even imagine your grief. My thoughts and prayers are with you. And while it may seem comforting that he suffered no pain, grief is still grief: overwhelming and beyond sad.

When my father died, my brother-in-law said the best thing I could do was to live the way he would want me to live. Trying to live up to my Father's standards stll remains a daily challenge for me (but a good one.)

Please, please check in with all of us here. Keep us posted on how you are feeling and how you are dealing. And if you feel up to sewing, please let us know about your projects.

Susan

oh marji..

i'm so sorry...i know words can't take away the pain, i'm not even going to try, but know this.....you are, in all reality, a stranger to me, but my one thought is of puting my arms around you and hugging away your pain, just as i would any childhood friend. funny..what a little wish list started, isn't it?

Dearest Marji ~
I have been where you are - shaken to the core by the death of a close loved one. It still hurts terribly to think about it and to know that you are going through the same kind of anguish.
I just wanted to tell you that I will keep you in my heart and think of you every day - and please know that you are not alone, ever.
I would welcome listening to all/any of you if you need to vent.
Sending love and caring to all ~
