| Hi i am just starting on a large hoop and the stabalizer used is a sticky backed paper. Is there something else to use instead as this stabalizer is very expensive thanks yancy |

Yes, it is pretty expensive. To tell the truth, I started to use regular weight cut-away on my big hoop, and just used masking tape to keep it in place (instead of the sticky stuff). Then, I used either long straight pins (look for "quilters" pins) or spray adhesive to attach my project to the stablilizer. It worked just fine for me. All you need to watch out for is that the tape doesn't interfere with the attachment mechanism (but you need to watch for that when you use the sticky-backed stuff as well, so no big deal) and if you use pins be sure that they are out of the way of the needle. Good luck with your experimentation! _________________ -Forum Moderator-
