My daughter has a cap with a horse head and neck embroidered on it. The mane is embroidered but one end of the really long satin stitches is cut loose so it looks like a real flowing mane. How do you accomplish this so when you cut it on one side all of the long Satin stitches don't unravel?

I'm not sure, but I believe that it has something to do with how the long satin stitches are digitized. The "connected" end would have additional stitches to "lock" it in place, so when the threads are clipped from the back, the one side doesn't move.

Did that make any sense? I am starting to get a headache, and nothing seems clear right now. Better go lay myself down now. Laughing
