Hiya all!

First off. Yes, I'm a guy. Laughing So do the giggling now, it's ok.. I can take it! Very Happy

I bought a Singer Futura 350 as it was within the price range I was willing to spend. I have to say, I love this machine. I've already completed several wedding-based projects on it and am very happy with its performance.

I found this site, like many of you, by searching for free design downloads. YEAH, I SAID IT.. FREE! hehehehehe Wink

So I get on here... download a few designs... stitched out a bunch and was so impressed of how amazing they turned out, that I actually became a paying member.

So, hello to all and I hope there's at least a few other Hombres here as well.

p.s., still have my old Singer Diana machine. It was binding up the thread every few stiches, so it just sat there for years. The person I bought the Futura 350 from used to work at Singer for a couple or more decades and suggest the problem was that I was using metal bobbins instead of plastic. I'm a guy! I thought metal ones would be better! Embarassed

Sure 'nuf. Got platic ones and the old Diana is sewing up a storm once again. Sometimes, we guys.. learn... it takes a long time sometimes *cough* but we learn. Very Happy

Nice to meet you.
Don't feel like you are the only guy that digitizes/embroiders. I have met more men in real life that do machine embroidery professionally than women actually. I think guys just tend to 'hide' their true identity online. My husband was actually the one who talked me into this hobby and when I was frustrated with the first program I had, an all manual point to point punch program, he learned how to do it and then taught me. I am sure if his 'Union brothers' found him out he would get more than a laugh or two. You can always choose your terminology better when you tell people what you do... 'CAD textile arts' sounds way less feminine than 'machine embroidery' lol.
Glad that you found our 'DesignsBySick' family.
