I have read and reread this string, I was wondering if anyone can give me an update on this situation. I received a first letter ( in January/February), they sent me the paperwork to follow up the first letter and I never replied. Now they have sent me a follow up letter.

What has anyone found out in followup on this topic. I see a lot of embroidery design sales companies have now posted support for the organization on their websites.

Thank you for any information you can give me.

I am new to the group because I too have been contacted by the ESPC for purchasing a disk from EBAY 16 months ago. I am wondering what others are doing. Are they paying this $300.00 or not. I do not run a business but enjoy doing gifts for family, weddings, etc. I do not sell my items or my designs and I did not knowingly purchase pirated designs. In fact I have never used designs from this disk because I personally didn't think they looked that good. The most I feel I should do is return this disk. I do not feel I should sign any letter of wrongdoing nor do I feel I should pay $300.00 for designs I wouldn't have paid $20.00 for in the first place. I haven't bought a disk from ebay since. And yes before I purchase any further designs I will ask if they are part of this coalition because I will no longer support any of these companies who feel it is OK to extort money from innocent people. I know I am only one person but I am one person whose money won't be going to these digitizers in support of doing this to people who unknowningly purchased a poorly done disk in the first place. I embroider for a niece who had two open heart surgeries before the age of 5, and a nephew who has downs syndrome - so in all I do that's good - I now owe $300.00 to a coalition that's out to extort people. Sorry to ramble but they are going after the wrong people. Maybe I'll be made an example of but right now I say come and get me - If they can all sleep at night after doing this so be it.
